My work is a reflection of the many things I am drawn to - A field of color, the quality of a line. The shimmering dance of leaves as they listen to the wind, the freedom of water's movement. These are stories that speak to the heart. How do we touch mystery? And what does the burning core of the earth teach the surface? These are my inspirations.

Ira Fabricant was born in the Bronx in 1945. He became interested in art, photography and film making when he was 16. He attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and studied at the San Francisco Art Institute. His art has been shown in various galleries nationally. He is also been involved in theater and dance, especially contact improvisation. His work is deeply influenced by his love of nature and the landscape.
